Case Study: Bloom Brew
This case study focuses on the branding development of Bloom Brew, a startup café aiming to create a calm, eco-friendly identity through its visual design. The client requested a minimalistic logo using a cream and green colour palette to reflect the brand’s natural and modern aesthetic. In addition, they wanted to see how the logo could be applied across real-world contexts, such as shop signage and coffee cups. A key challenge within this project was the limited detail provided about the signage design, which required independent creative interpretation. To address this, two different mock-ups were created using varied sign shapes to showcase versatility. The final logo was designed using the Raleway font for a clean, contemporary look, with subtle leaf elements incorporated to reinforce the brand’s sustainability focus.
Project Details
Eco Friendly Coffee Start up. A modern café startup focused on organic coffee, calm vibes, and sustainability. Think plants, soft lighting, eco-friendly packaging.
The Challenge
The key challenge in this project was the lack of detailed guidance regarding the logo, colour scheme and font choices, this would also lead onto the issue regarding signage design and cup design, as I did not know what kind of choice of signage or cup they were looking for. This all required independent creative interpretation.
The Solution
To address this, I developed 1 coffee cup mock-up as a example as well as 2 different mock-ups using varied sign shapes to demonstrate versatility and provide the client with clear visual options.
The logo itself was designed using the Raleway font to maintain a clean and modern aesthetic, and I incorporated subtle leaf elements to reinforce the brand’s eco-friendly theme. To stick with the minimalistic theme, I stuck by only two colours during this with using a light green for the leaves and text with the cream background.
